This is one of a vibrant collection of artworks and objects representing the continuing dynamism of cultural practices at Ernabella in South Australia.

The early paintings from Ernabella feature patterns, known as walka. Inspired by children’s drawings made at the mission school, walka are particular to the Ernabella style, with individual artists having their own recognisable marks. In recent years, Ernabella artists have introduced more literal and descriptive styles to their painting and printmaking.

Do some research to find out more about an Ernabella artist.
