Folio from the Australasian Sketcher, Adelaide edition, dated 10 July 1880. ‘Ned Kelly at Bay’ featuring engraving of figure in armour and long coat, firing pistol.
On 28 June 1880, Victorian police captured Kelly after a siege at the Glenrowan Inn. Other members of the Kelly Gang—Dan Kelly, Joseph Byrne and Steve Hart—were killed in the siege. Ned was tried and executed in Melbourne in November 1880.
