This cartoon shows Georges Clemenceau (the French Prime Minister, known as ‘The Tiger’) and other Allied leaders leaving the Paris Peace Conference talks. They pass a weeping child labelled ‘1940 Class’, who stands near a copy of the Treaty of Versailles.
