This work was included in The Anzac Book. Published in 1916, The Anzac Book is a collection of illustrations, and other creative works from the soldiers on the Gallipoli Peninsula. The works included are satirical and sombre pieces of what life was like at Gallipoli as well as a general outline of the military advances and defences undertaken, from the landing at Anzac Cove until the evacuation of the Allied Forces in December 1915.
