Gold pocket watch, which belonged to William John Wills
This pocket watch belonged to explorer William John Wills. He used it on the ill-fated Victorian Exploring Expedition of 1860-61, led by Robert O'Hara Burke. Wills was the expedition's surveyor and he used the watch to conduct astronomical observations for navigation.
