Kelly’s Bush. A Sydney park that was set to have houses built over it during the 1970s, but was saved by community activism.

Photograph taken May 1996. In June 1971 the New South Wales Builders Labourers’ Federation imposed the world’s first green ban to protect Kelly’s Bush on Sydney’s Lower North Shore.
