Postcard featuring a sepia coloured photograph of an irrigation channel between rows of fruit trees. A caption for the photograph, in the top left hand corner, reads: ‘An irrigated apricot orchard in Australia. Irrigation is carried out on largely and with immense success in districts where an inadequate rainfall is liable. A large portion of the country, however, receives adequate and regular rainfall. There are 278,551 acres of land under cultivation.’ The reverse of the card features the text ‘Kinsmen, we welcome you’ inside an outline of Australia.
