Small brown vinyl suitcase used to transport Mungo Lady’s remains to Canberra

This suitcase belonged to Emeritus Professor Derek John Mulvaney. He gained acclaim as Australia's first professionally trained pre-historian, and as a leading public archaeologist, historian, intellectual and advocate of cultural heritage protection. The suitcase dates to the late 1920s was used to transport the remains of Mungo Lady from Lake Mungo to Canberra in 1969 for dating.
