‘Take sex out of the pay packet, equal pay now’ printed T-shirt
This t-shirt relates to one of the campaigns for women's rights run by the Women's Electoral Lobby (WEL) in the 1970s. WEL was established by a group of women activists in Melbourne in 1972. WEL campaigned for equal pay, equal employment opportunity, equal access to education, free contraceptive services, abortion on demand and free 24-hour childcare.
