Twelve Turtles, by Wanda Gibson

An artwork created at a series of workshops organised by the Hopevale Arts and Culture Centre and the National Museum of Australia. Indigenous artists created works reflecting on moments when James Cook and the crew of the Endeavour came into contact with Guugu Yimidhirr people at Waalumbaal Birri (Endeavour River) in 1770.
