Don Bradman (left) and Stan McCabe take the field, 1932
Don Bradman was one of the world’s greatest cricket players. On 29 December 1928 he scored his first international test century. Bradman went on to represent Australia for 20 years. His batting prowess led the 1932–33 English touring team to adopt the controversial ‘bodyline’ bowling strategy for that year’s Ashes series.
