Participants walking to the Myall Memorial site in June 2015

The Myall Creek memorial site, which opened in June 2000, commemorates the unarmed Wirrayaraay people who massacred by white colonists near Myall Creek Station in 1838. Every year in June, hundreds of Indigenous and non-Indigenous people gather at the memorial site to attend an annual memorial service.
