‘Portrait of Bennilong’ by Samuel Neele (artist and engraver) from G. A. Cooke, Modern and Authentic System of Universal Geography, 1802. Bennelong was an Eora man who learned to speak English and travelled to England with Governor Arthur Phillip in 1792.
