5.1 Introduction

There were many events during the Second World War that determined the war’s course, and that continue to have significance and relevance in today’s world. So far we have investigated only a few of them.

Researching the events listed in the following pages will help you develop a knowledge and understanding of some more of these key events, both on a global scale, and for Australia specifically.
