Miniature portrait of Captain Eber Bunker, about 1810
Bunker captained the William and Ann, a transport in the Third Fleet. After it had dropped off its human cargo in Sydney, the William and Ann went on a short whaling trip. Bunker also captained the Albion which went whaling off Australia and New Zealand in 1799 and 1800.
