In 1900 the six colonies in Australia were all British colonies, but they were all separate from each other.

1. Before Federation, each colony operated independently. This caused a number of problems which were solved when the colonies were joined together to create a new nation.

The grey boxes on the left below are a list of problems the colonies were facing. The yellow boxes on the right are the solutions, but they are in the wrong order. Drag the yellow box solutions until they are next to the correct problem.
